Tap to Pay on Android: Taking a payment

Once you have set up Tap to Pay you'll be able to take contactless payments using only your phone. For instructions on setting up Tap to Pay on Android, click here.

Taking a payment using Tap to Pay

Select the Charge screen at the bottom of the Lopay app.

Enter the amount required and tap ‘Charge.’

You will be presented with a range of payment options. Select’ Tap to Pay on Android’

The screen below will appear on your phone. Ask your customer to tap their card or phone on the back of your phone.

Once the payment is complete, tap ‘Done.’

In the context of your transactions, it’s important to be aware that using an RFID-blocking phone case might interfere with the NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality on your phone. NFC is essential for contactless transactions, including tap-to-pay payments. Therefore, it’s advisable to avoid cases that may disrupt these signals to ensure seamless and secure transactions.

RFID stands for Radio-Frequency Identification, and an RFID phone case typically contains material that blocks radio signals.
