Welcome to Lopay! Below you’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you need further information and assistance though, just scroll to the bottom of this page to access related articles or find contact details for our support team.


Where can I use Lopay?

Currently Lopay is only available in the UK and Ireland. This means a UK or Ireland bank account is required and payouts and payments are in GBP or EUR only.


How do I sign in to an existing account?

Open the Lopay app and select "Already have an account?".

Enter the email address you used to create an account and select "Continue".

Open the magic link email (explained below) from Lopay and select "Tap to log in" in the email.

The email will be sent to the email address you used to register for a Lopay account.

Please Note: You may need to check your junk/spam folder.


What is a magic link email?

Once you have a Lopay account, if you log out of the app you will need to sign in via a magic link email.

A magic link is a link that is securely created on Lopay - it is a single-use, unique alternative to signing in with a password.

For security reasons, the magic link is only functional for 30 minutes.

Once you click on the Lopay magic link you will be taken to the app and be logged in without needing a password.


How do I start taking payments?

Once you've created an account you will be guided through setup in the Lopay app. Once you've verified your identity and added your bank account, you'll be able to start taking payments. There a multiple ways to take payments via Lopay, for more details click here.


How do I payout to my bank account?

If you have a Lopay Rewards Card...

You can access your funds at any time by using your Lopay Rewards Card to make purchases online or in-store. You can also schedule regular payouts from your Lopay account to your connected bank account - you chose the day of the week or month and your full balance will payout that same time each week/month at no additional cost.

If you don't have a Lopay Rewards Card...

The timing of your payout depends on the Schedule you are on. To change your Schedule at any time, please follow the steps here. The options are as follows:

  • Instant - Payments are settled immediately after the transaction if your balance is over £75 (or the threshold that you set). Payouts are immediate 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. More details here.

  • Next Day - Payments are settled the next business day after the transaction - so payments taken on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all settled on Monday.

  • Weekly - Payments are settled every Thursday after the transaction.

On all accounts, if you need an one-off instant payout to your bank account its easy. Select 'Withdraw money' in the app and enter the amount you want to payout. A small payout fee will be shown to take your fees for the transactions being paid out to our standard instant rate of 1.79%.

Please note: The timings above are not guaranteed. Payouts can be temporarily held for additional reviews by the Settling bank and this is out of Lopay's control.
