How to get set up once you have created your Lopay account.

Once registered you will need to complete identity verification and configure your account in order to start taking payments and receiving your money.

To do this, tap the 'Complete your setup' banner on the app homepage:

You will now need to tap Complete identity verification.

This will take you to a secure form where you will be asked for details about yourself and your business as well as proof of your identity. For more guidance on completing this form please click here.

Once your information has been verified, tap Add bank account. The bank account you add will receive your payouts from your Lopay account. After tapping Add bank account, you can choose from 2 ways to connect your bank account:

1) 'Connect account'

2) 'Manually add account'

If you select 'Connect account' you will be asked to select your bank from a drop down list and follow the steps in the app to connect your account. If you select 'Manually add account' you will be asked to enter details such as your account number and sort code. The result is the same though and once complete your Lopay payouts will be sent to the bank account you have connected.

Please note: Multiple bank accounts can be added later via the 'More' screen in the app. You will need to confirm the addition of a bank account via your email.

You will then be guided through the different ways you can take a payment and you can order a device if you need one:

Our Business Terminal is a standalone device ideal for static businesses. You enter the charge via the touchscreen and the customer taps, swipes or inserts their card to pay. A dock is also available to secure the device to the countertop if required. For more details please see our website here and FAQs here.

Our Card Reader is a smaller, bluetooth device that's great for taking payments on the go. It needs to be connected to a smartphone/tablet to work. For more details please see our FAQs here.

To start taking payments, simply open the 'Charge' tab (2nd icon at the bottom of the app) enter an amount and select 'Charge'. You can then select from the different payment methods. For more details on the ways to take payments please click here.

You can also now add a referral code if you have one - simply select the 'More' screen in the app and then 'Redeem a code'. For more details click here.
